Terms of Service

Last updated: May 9, 2026

Heads-up

Klent is currently in private alpha. We iterate quickly, so expect occasional rough edges and changes between releases. §6 (Service availability) describes the expectations for this period.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Klent service, including the Klent dashboard at app.klent.dev, the Klent API at api.klent.dev, the Klent SDKs and the Klent MCP server (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Verbose Digital LLC (“Klent,” “we,” “us”).

By creating an account, calling the API, or installing one of the SDKs, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

1. The Service

Klent is a control and observability layer for AI agents: it evaluates tool calls against your policies, records the resulting decisions, and optionally pauses actions for human approval. The Service is currently offered as a hosted SaaS at klent.dev.

We may evolve, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Where a change materially reduces the Service's functionality, we will give you reasonable notice via email or the dashboard.

2. Account & access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and any API keys you mint. You must notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect a key has been compromised so we can revoke it.

You may not allow more than one human to share a single account. Each person using the Service must have their own login.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Send data that violates applicable law, including intellectual property, privacy, and export-control laws;
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or any other customer's data;
  • Run agents whose primary purpose is to harass, defraud, or harm other people;
  • Resell or sub-licence the Service in a way that bypasses the authentication, audit-trail, or rate-limit controls.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of all data you send to the Service (tool inputs, outputs, metadata, policy definitions, audit events). You grant Klent a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to process this data for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving the Service for you.

We do not use your data to train third-party AI models. Aggregate and anonymised metrics (event counts, error rates) may be used to improve the Service.

5. Fees

Klent is free while it is in alpha. If we introduce paid plans, we will give you advance notice via email or the dashboard, and any paid plan you subscribe to will be billed under the pricing in effect at the time of subscription.

6. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not offer a formal SLA during the alpha. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” and we may make API or schema changes without long deprecation windows while we iterate. We will publish a stable v1 with proper SLA terms once we move out of alpha.

7. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or if continued provision of the Service would expose us to legal or security risk.

On termination, we will delete your account data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve an open dispute.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Klent and its officers, employees, and contractors disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Klent harmless from any claim arising out of (a) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, (b) the content of the data you send through the Service, or (c) actions taken by an AI agent under your control.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated in advance via email or the dashboard.
